Uptown residents will want to avoid the A subway line during the next few weekends in July.
All service on the A train will be suspended between 168th Street and 207th Street on the weekends of July 16 and 17 and July 23 and 24, the MTA has announced.
Service will be suspended beginning at 9:45 p.m. on Friday until Monday at 5:00 a.m., the MTA said.
Later in 2022, three additional weekends will also be affected: September 9 through 12, October 15 through 17, and October 22 through 24.
During the service outages, straphangers are encouraged to take free shuttle buses that will run along Broadway, making stops near the A train stations. Riders can transfer from the A to a shuttle bus at 168th Street.

At Highbridge Pool in Washington Heights, local residents welcomed the chance to dive back into the water.
“We’re excited to come back here,” said Washington Heights resident Rudy Paulino as he swam with his daughter during a recent morning visit. “We’ve already been here a few times since they reopened. It’s a great way to cool off.”
“I come here almost every day in the summer,” added another swimmer named Steven. “I practically live here.”
Although the Olympic pool at Highbridge is open, its capacity has been limited due to a shortage of available lifeguards. Swimmers were kept to one section of the massive pool while several lifeguards observed.
Approximately 500,000 children under the age of 5 reside in New York City.
But there is only one available child care slot for every five infants in the city, according to the Mayor’s Office.
More than a village – it takes a city.
So explained Mayor Eric Adams as he released a blueprint to increase access to affordable childcare in New York City.
The city will make a $2 billion investment over the next four years in early child care, which includes funding to ensure that undocumented immigrant families have access to child care.
The plan would ensure services for more than 41,000 additional children in the city, Adams said.
“It used to take a village to raise a child, but these days, it takes a city,” he said.
