TUESDAY, JUNE 28 – 7-9pm

Do you have questions about publishing? Have them answered at Word Up on Tuesday @ 7pm! Mark Batty Publisher managing editor Buzz Poole and designer/production director Christopher Salyers are teaming up with Charles Day, director of digital marketing and publicity at Melville House Publishing to answer any and all questions about publishing. They’ll share their insight about all aspects of the publishing process, essential whether you’re a published author, aspiring novelist, publishing job seeker, or simply a book lover.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29 – 7:30-9pm

Ruben Gonzalez, originally from Argentina, is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist who draws from the rich tradition of Latin American music, jazz, and rock. Ruben’s discography includes Foto de mi Aldea (2006) and La Libertad (2010). At Word Up, Ruben will be performing with Dana Hanchard.

THURSDAY, JUNE 30 – 7-9pm

Tres Poetas Peruanos en NYC: Evgueni Bezzubikoff, Mariela Dreyfus, Miguel Ildefonso

FRIDAY, JULY 1 – 7-9pm

Music for Daze’s Dom P, along with the Machine—the Washington Heights version of the Wu Tang Clan—will be performing hip hop on live instruments, with more special guests TBD. Music for Daze (MFD) is a Washington Heights–based entertainment group bringing original and uplifting music to the masses. MFD Specializes in entertaining audiences as well as production, mastering, songwriting, video production, and photography.
