A caravan is leaving Uptown to Staten Island on Friday morning to assist fellow New Yorkers affected by Hurricane Sandy. The group organizing the trip is looking for people with vehicles and gas. To join the volunteer efforts, please contact James Hamilton at [email protected] or join the Inwood Community Group page on Facebook for more information.

At this point, this is not a construction oriented trip but one to donate supplies. As we move closer to the date, a listing of supplies will be – supplied. For those who feel more comfortable communicating in Spanish, James and his wife are both fluent Spanish speakers. Please be in touch with James before Thursday evening.
