Like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, the newly christened Dyckman Bar (221 Dyckman Street) is absolutely magnificent. The Irish pub formerly known as Patrick’s has been reconceived and remixed as a modern, classy and sexy neighborhood bar. The metamorphosis from antiquated dive bar to sleek cocktail outpost is nothing less than mind-blowing. Dyckman Bar is a welcome addition to what has been dubbed Inwood Boulevard. If you want to imbibe what the Uptown Renaissance feels and looks like then stop by Dyckman Bar and see the neighborhood resurgence in action.
