When is the last time you had a patacon? Well stop by Patacon Pisao (202nd Street btwn 9th and 10th Avenues) today for #NoshTheVote, a voter registration drive taking place between 11 am and 4 pm. #NoshTheVote is an initiative of the Urban Justice Center’s Street Vendor Project and the de Blasio administration. There are two million eligible voters still unregistered in New York City. This non-partisan voter drive will provide registration forms in English and Spanish at 12 food trucks across the five boroughs. So gather everyone you know that isn’t registered to vote and hit up Patacon Pisao ASAP. You can do your civic duty and have a damn good meal at the same time. That is what you call a WHIN WHIN situation.
Voters are also able to register by visiting voting.nyc through Friday, October 14.
Voters can access registration forms in a total of 16 languages at www.nyccfb.info, including 11 languages recently added by Mayor de Blasio and the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. In addition to forms in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Bangla, voters can now register in Russian, Urdu, Haitian Creole, French, Arabic, Albanian, Greek, Italian, Polish, Tagalog and Yiddish.
