Recently, I started to notice that my body was craving exercise. Sitting in an office for extended hours a day and being stuck in traffic definitely were taking it’s toll. I consistently eat healthy but have not been exercising like I know I should and it has started to show (both on the inside and out). While I am not making any declarations about my goals, I am aware that staying healthy requires physical movement. I will be trying different forms of exercise and then documenting my efforts. But for now, I wanted to share a video that appeared in my inbox recently and it was exactly what I needed.
This wasn’t the first time I had heard about 75-year-old Ernestine Shepard and her “no shortcuts” attitude about fitness but it was certainly the right time to be reminded of her powerful message, “age is nuthin’ but a number”. This woman started working out in her 50′s after the devastating loss of her sister and bodybuilding in her 70′s… this doesn’t mean you have to wait until then to get started.
So stop making excuses, get up, and get moving RIGHT NOW!
