Muhammad Ali was once again larger than life in Harlem Saturday night, in a stirring under-the-stars tribute to the boxing legend.
Images of a dancing butterfly, a stinging bee and a black and white outline of the iconic photo of Ali towering over Sonny Liston were projected onto the walls of a building at the corner of 125th street and Saint Nicholas Avenue.
The two-story memorial to the heavyweight champion shone from 10 pm to midnight as onlookers snapped pictures and read some of Ali’s famous quotes — including, “Life is short; we get old so fast. It doesn’t make sense to waste time hating.”
