August in New York City for me means only 3 things, the Dominican Day Parade, my birthday and the New York International Latino Film Festival (NYILFF). The 13th Annual New York International Latino Film Festival will take place from August 13th to August 19th. Since 1999, NYILFF has been telling our stories and telling them well. “The NYILFF’s mission is to showcase the works of the hottest emerging Latino filmmaking talent in the U.S. and Latin America, offer expansive images of the Latino experience, and celebrate the diversity and spirit of the Latino community.”
