FOR ACTORS: The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) is looking for actors to take part in a new program called the Playwright’s Playground. It is designed for playwrights to hear cold readings of scenes from their works in progress and for actors to become acquainted with the work of emerging writers while they take an important role in the creation of new plays.

The next Playground session will be on Monday, July 16th, from 7 pm – 10 pm at the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Center on 165th Street and Broadway. All actors must arrive at 6:30 and check in with either Debra Cardona or her assistant Pia Wilson in order to be cast in a scene. Because so many actors are interested in participating, there is no guarantee that you will be cast each time, but we will do our best to accommodate you. There are some incredible playwrights lined up, and it is important to us that a truly diverse group of artists are a part of this endeavor.

If you are interested in participating, all you need do is show up at 6:30 on a Playwright’s Playground Monday.
