All I know is that I was walking to work and I was stopped dead in my tracks. In the middle of a block on 207th street, I came across what seem to look like a very familiar character. It was a club flyer using Elmo in a way I have never seen him before, in a way that no child should ever see him…big diamond earrings, shirt-less with a hookah bong. This image of “Party-Time Elmo” should not be allowed to touch our turf again. What kind of examples is he setting for the babies Uptown with this image. There just has to be another way to promote a club night (for a club that is not even Uptown) without using Sesame Street super stars. So if you see something, don’t say something…DO SOMETHING! TRASH IT! That’s what I did.
