Look around, art is all around us and Uptowner Ami Vega validates this statement.  Her hand skills make hands cool. She is not just some run of the mill manicurist, she is a talented artist who uses  nails as her canvas and nail polish as her paint and paint brush. She is contracted for special events and in-stores, for she is a real artist.  As she has stated in her blog, MYBLKBOOK, “I LOVE animal prints and patterns. But ever so often, I take some famous art work and duplicate it on my finger nails.” This is apparent as you view the work of Roy Lichtenstein  that she recreated on her own nails, along with the works of other pop artists like Keith Haring.

So the next time you want you nails spruced up, trash the flower and get a Frida.
